Update: Letters to Follow – A Dancer’s Adventure
The only things better than finishing writing a book is having it arrive at my door as a real book! When that UPS truck backs up and opens the back of the truck and my name appears on several neatly stacked boxes, I realize that I’ve done it! I’ve taken ideas, written and rewritten them, and edited those words until I feel I could recite the entire book with my eyes closed. Now I can hold it in my hands, turn the pages, checkout all the special touches the publisher/creative artist Karin Hoffman has added, and know my followers will enjoy the result.
THIS book has several details the earlier books do not have: a map of Lynne’s travels, a glossary of ballet terms, and, my favorite new feature, a YouTube channel of the music and choreography mentioned in the book meant to enhance your reading pleasure. (Be cautious: if you forget the link and type in Paddy Eger, you’ll get an Irish rock band!!)
After a few hours of euphoria and self-congratulations, the panic sets in. Now I need to get-the-word-out. That means contacting readers, setting up book events, plus a long lists of tasks to promote the book. Here’s where I hope you will find time to attend a book event, invite you to invite me to your book clubs (live or via Skype) and send your friends to checkout my website information on the trilogy. You can start by checking it out for yourself right here!
I’ll miss my cast of characters including the mainstays: Marta, Lynne, Madame Cosper, Damien Black, Steve, Marta’s mom, and Carol. To their ranks I’ve added time with: Lynne’s parents, Suzette, Noel, Uncle Leo, Madame Zelb, Kitsy, and dancers Lynne meets throughout the story. I hope you’ll enjoy the old cast and that the new characters introduced in Letters to Follow-A Dancer’s Adventure will become memorable as well.
