It will be a chance to talk about ways to engage students in their own learning. We&#8217;ll discuss hooks and pocket activities, ways to focus students, the use of hand signals and questioning strategies during discussions, and self evaluations.<\/p>\n<p>Para educators play a vital role in schools, a job to consider if you are looking to make a difference for kids. Whether you are beginning a career, looking for\u00a0 change, or retired, you&#8217;d play an important role as a teacher&#8217;s assistant. It would give you a chance to work with one student or a group of students in classrooms ranging from K-12 in a variety of school settings (elementary, middle school or high school in both public or private schools).<\/p>\n<p>True, the pay isn&#8217;t great, but the reward of helping students realize their potential is a worth investment of your time.<\/p>\n<p>Interested? Contact a local school in your area.\u00a0 Not looking for paying job, but want to help kids?
