Ask yourself, &#8220;Am I setting a good example for students?&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Are you a <strong>1<\/strong> or a <strong>2<\/strong>?<\/p>\n<p>(1) Do you pay attention to directions given by the teacher <strong>or<\/strong> <strong>(2)<\/strong> are you having side conversations with students or other adults?<\/p>\n<p>(1) Do you follow students rules <strong>or (2)<\/strong> do you assume you are not expected to be <em>that <\/em>engaged?<\/p>\n<p>(1) Do you use appropriate voice levels and engage all students <strong>or (2) <\/strong>do you only call on the ones who wave their hands in the air?<\/p>\n<p>(1) Do you help with clean-up and participate in school emergency drills <strong>or<\/strong> <strong>(2)<\/strong> do you ignore those aspects of classroom procedures?<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Be the ONE who sets the bar high for engagement and appropriate actions.
