The concepts remain present, but the game aspect adds fun and challenges. My games for students with grades 2-6 <em>math skills<\/em> share a variety of topics, mostly about addition and subtraction. I have created a varfiety of levels of difficulty, and use easy-to-find tools like playing cards and dice.\u00a0 Most games take less than 10 minutes to play. Any necessary gameboards and extending options are provided for each game. Here are a feworogonal games you&#8217;ll find in my book:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Keep It 10 (use cards and create combos that equal &#8217;10&#8217;)<\/li>\n<li>Tic-Tac Block (use dice to add and subtract creating a winning tic-tac-toe line up)<\/li>\n<li>20&lt;-&gt;0 (use dice and subtract as you make your way around the gameboard)<\/li>\n<li>Circle &#8216;Round Strategy #2 (add, subtract or multiply and you attempt to each your goal number with the fewest number of moves)<\/li>\n<li>Heading Home (move to a home corner on the gameboard using math facts cards)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now&#8217;s a great time to play a few math-themed games to relight a spark in math skills.
