But it didn&#8217;t and I apologize. Now I&#8217;m back and I&#8217;m completing my Educating America Workbook for teachers who are considering inviting volunteers into their days in their classrooms. I&#8217;ve reorganized my time to write an education-based blog every Sunday and hope for your continued support.<\/p>\n<p>So much is happening in education beyond summer hiatus in many places. It&#8217;s good to have time for rest, renewal and reinvention whenever it fits into your school or home vacations as we consider the ever-increasing pile of tasks assigned to teachers. Now is my time to return to writing about education and kids and families. I want to support all of the people involved as we work to improve student achievement. My &#8216;prime directive&#8217; is to continue to write, talk about, and work in classrooms. It&#8217;s\u00a0 something I&#8217;ve valued since before I began teaching.
