As the school year begins for many families, the Costco Connection magazine is filled with back-to-school items. One article that caught my eye was entitled Math + fun = success.<\/p>\n
Laura Overdeck, a mother of three from New Jersey, has created a non-profit “that delivers nightly math stories to tens of thousands of parents.” (p. 98, The Costco Connection for August 2015)<\/p>\n
Her bedtime stories are contained in her bedtimemath.org<\/em> blog, plus she’s created 3 books in support of her ideas (available at Costco). She’s also created You Tube math exercises and started Crazy 8s Math Clubs while gathering over 70,000 subscribers!
