Whether it’s now or later in the year, it’s important to thank volunteers. I stumbled onto great ideas on Pinterest. They are filed under Volunteers<\/em> and also Volunteer Appreciation. <\/em>Here’s a sampling of inexpensive ideas for school classrooms:<\/p>\n

  1. \u00a0Thanks a Latte<\/strong> for all you do. A tag to add to a coupon for a free latte.<\/li>\n
  2. \u00a0Our Class would knot<\/strong> be the same without you. This is attached to a student-made yarn friendship bracelet.<\/li>\n
  3. \u00a0We need S’more<\/strong> helpers like YOU!! This was attached to a baggie that held a graham cracker, 2 marshmallows and a Hershey bar.<\/li>\n
  4. \u00a0Thank you for giving us your thyme <\/strong>( I assumed tied to a small plant of thyme.).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    And 5. My favorite: a picture frame with a multi-limbed tree drawing mounted in the frame. At the ends of each branch is a student fingerprint in green paint. The note says: Thanks for helping us grow!<\/p>\n

    Now it’s your turn. Send me your ideas (or look thru Pinterest for inexpensive thank you ideas that appeal to you). Send them to me before the end of December. I’ll post them and send you a thank you surprise!<\/p>\n
