Many are relatively new on the book shelf; a few are old enough that I read them as a child, decades ago. The list includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Charlie and the Chocolate Factory<\/li>\n<li>Alice in Wonderland<\/li>\n<li>Matilda<\/li>\n<li>The Chronicles of Narnia<\/li>\n<li>We&#8217;re Going on a Bear Hunt<\/li>\n<li>Where the Wild Things Are<\/li>\n<li>Black Beauty<\/li>\n<li>Flat Stanley<\/li>\n<li>Winnie the Pooh<\/li>\n<li>Funnybones<\/li>\n<li>The Hobbit<\/li>\n<li>Green Eggs and Ham<\/li>\n<li>Grimm&#8217;s Fairy Tales<\/li>\n<li>Artemis Fowl<\/li>\n<li>Diary of a Wimpy Kid<\/li>\n<li>The Secret Garden<\/li>\n<li>The Borrowers<\/li>\n<li>Coraline<\/li>\n<li>Cinderella<\/li>\n<li>Kidnapped<\/li>\n<li>The Wind in the Willows<\/li>\n<li>The Velveteen Rabbit<\/li>\n<li>Pinocchio<\/li>\n<li>The Day the Crayons Quit<\/li>\n<li>The Giving Tree<\/li>\n<li>The Phantom Toll Booth<\/li>\n<li>The Tale of Peter Rabbit<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Question#1: Which newer titles have you read and were able to identify with?<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Question #2: Which newer titles left you wondering what the appeal was for young readers?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Question #3: Do you think the fiction books you read as a child influenced your adult reading?
