You now have so many options of what to celebrate: May Day with maypoles and secret flowers to kind neighbors, Hawaii’s Lei Day, Law Day, International Workers Day,<\/strong> and even Mother Goose Day. I also celebrate my birthday. Whatever you celebrate, make your best effort to enjoy the month as we immerse ourselves with spring in full bloom.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>April 23rd<\/strong> I had the privilege of being interview by Laura Moe on her Young Adult Authors Cafe. She is an exciting teen author (Breakfast with Neruda<\/a>) as well as a great interviewer. The hour of conversation flew by as we talked about writing, Letters to Follow-A Dancer’s Adventure<\/em> (book 3 in the ballet trilogy) and Tasman-An Innocent Convict’s Struggle for Freedom. <\/em>You may listen to the recording and to other authors Laura has interviewed by visiting www.blogtalkradio.com.<\/a><\/p>\n

May 2nd <\/strong>is a special day for me. I’ve been working with senior citizen writers at a local assisted living residence. Tomorrow they’ll share some of their writings with interested residents. I must say, every time I meet with my band of writers, I am inspired to do a better job with my own writing. It’s true: a long life affords many experiences worth sharing with others.<\/p>\n

\"\"May 10th <\/strong>is my next scheduled book talk. I hope you and your friends might join me that Thursday at Third Place Books in Lake Forest Park from 7-8 PM. We’ll discuss the book and you’ll be invited to play Prisoner’s Fate. It’s a game I invented to share some of the experiences Ean experienced during his journey that took him half way around the world.<\/p>\n

May 18th <\/strong>I’ll be at the University Book Store in Mill Creek’s Towne Center. That Friday event is from 6-7 PM,<\/strong> giving us a bit of time to get to know Ean. It’s my last local book event.<\/p>\n

\"\"May 24th <\/strong>I’ll change hats as I present writing clues and ideas to teen students in the Longview-Kelso area. It’s always exciting to meet with young writers! They energize my writing; I seem to prefer writing for their age group.<\/p>\n
