Her name is Julie; she’s my web and product designer. I met her through Tendril Press where my books and materials are designed. Most Mondays at 6 AM I have a conversation with her. Some are five minutes; some are longer, especially when we get talking about her other business: creating handbags for Allison Clothing Company, a shop in West Reading, PA (also online) or when we start comparing who’s got the worst weather. (Her winters win every time!)

I feel indebted to Julie for her patience. As she finishes one project for me, I’ve thought up another. Somehow she tolerates my ever-growing list of ideas with a smile in her voice. Lately she’s helped me with reviewers, creating a math games booklet, running 2 book giveaways, organizing an Educating America newsletter for back-to-school (to come out very soon), and creating flipbooks of my novels for my website (which she designed). Now I’ve asked her to organize a ballet definitions booklet.

Because most of the readers of my ballet themed books are not dancers, I thought I needed to create a short, program-sized booklet of definitions to help explain some of the terms I use. I selected the terms and she organized it into a 5X7 pocket-sized booklet.

The FIRST booklets will be available to people who attend a book event as a thank you. After October 25th they’ll be available to everyone either online (free) or in hard copy for the cost of postage (80 cents).

To reserve your hard copy, respond to this blog. IF you don’t want to wait until the end of October, send $1.00, plus the postage (80 cents) and I’ll mail you a copy as soon as available, probably by August 15th.

Let me know what you think “works” with regard to the website design and other materials you’ve received recently from me. I’ll let Julie know. Web design people, like authors, appreciate hearing what works. Thanks to Julie, I look like I know what I’m doing! And that is a major miracle!

I have a wonderful friend I’ve never met face-to-face.
