What's a Parent To Do? Give Away Responsibility!

By | August 12, 2013

It’s the time of year to buy school supplies and clothes to fit your growing child, right?  It’s also time to organize your child to take on the responsibility for the school-to-home-to-school information, books and such. I hope you have a school place near the door that your child uses to leave for school. If there’s a small rug or a crate or a shelf where backpacks can be stored the night before school, the morning will be much easier. Packing up before bedtime will allow your mornings to be relaxed, well, less stressful at least!

School is a child’s place of work. Make it his/her responsibility to pack up homework, library books, lunch money, book order forms, sweaters and whatever needs to travel to school in the AM before bedtime. Let me know how it works out!
