Day 44 of 84 Days of 84 Ribbons: Tutus
Tutus are costumes worn by female ballet dancers. In Marta’s setting, they cost several hundred dollars to make. Today those same tutus may cost over $1,000. All must be handmade and require more than 60 hours to gather the yards and yards of tule plus the added beading and over layers of silk or satin.
Tutus are all the rage with teens, but there’s nothing stopping you from making small child or adult tutus! Learn how to make a tutu. Go to You Tube and type in tutu making. A plethora of ideas will arise. Enjoy the variety of presentations you will find.
OR
Enter to win a personal tutu party arranged by me, Paddy Eger. I’ll assemble everything you need and send it to you. If you are in an area where I’ll be speaking, I’ll show up in person. Otherwise, I’ll Skype you during your party (up to 8 people) and we can build tutus together.
To enter the contest go to my website (www.paddyeger.com) and drop me a note saying you want to be entered for a chance at winning a tutu party. I’ll drop you name and email into the tutu contest container. The contest is limited to USA addresses and you must enter before midnight (Pacific Daylight Time) on June 12th, 2014, the last day of the 84 Days of 84 Ribbons. I’ll contact you and also post the winner here on June 13th. Good Luck, Everyone!
