Please remember to support the authors you read by writing a book review. Here’s a brief article to help you get started.

How to Write a Brief Book Review

Read a good book lately? One you shared with a friend? Good! I know your friends appreciate hearing about books, but so do the authors of the books you read. So…

What makes a good review?

A good review shares your impressions; what you liked about the story  and the characters.

How long will it take to write?

Budget 5-7 minutes. (You may use the same review in several places!)

How much do I need to write?

K.I.S.S – Keep It Simple, Sweetie! Share 2-3 details in 2-3 sentences.

Here’s a sample:

If you like historical fiction, you’ll love (title) by (author’s name). The author shared (add an interesting detail or two) from the 1850s and plopped me into the main character’s problem. It’s a fast read. I cheered for (character name) from the first page to the last.

 Where should I post it?

(1) Mention the book and author on your social media. Better yet, copy      your review onto the social media sites you visit most often.

(2) Post your review on Amazon and other book buying sites. It’s easy!

(a) Type in the book title and author name

(b) Scroll down the page to reader comments & (c) Copy your review.

(d) (Bonus) Hit like on reviews you agree with.

Please know your friends and fellow readers appreciate hearing your ideas. Authors also thank you for taking the time to share your impressions! Give yourself a hug.

                                                          Paddy
