Lucille, Thanks for playing along. It’s interesting to know what readers feel in a story. I agree with you that Marta is anxious as well as determined. Her life’s wish , her desiere is met during the story but I’m not sure I find her humble but I’m glad you dond’t find her to be obnoxious (like Carol).
