Whether it’s for school or home, what do we need to create a kids reading corner? Not a whole bunch:
a corner, an alcove, a loft, or even a closet floor
books (library loans, yard sale, new or used will do)
comfortable, kidsize seating plus maybe a soft pillow and a blanket
a bookcase or a crate for book storage
sufficient lighting (be wary of haolgen because they are bright and become excessisvely hot!)
It’s worth our time and effort to create a cozy place that encourages kids to snuggle down and read.
