In the season of reflection and giving thanks, I want to remember so many people who influenced my decision to become me.
My parents encouraged me to read, write, create on my own, dance, sing and be my own person while taking responsibility for my actions.
My teachers for opening up the world beyond my hometown and my circle of friends. They challenged me to look, question, research, and select my own values based on my education and common sense.
My friends for being good influences on me and accepting me.
My readers and blog followers for sticking with me as I write what compels me to value volunteerism and my continuing to volunteer in schools.
To those I’ll never know who support education worldwide and encourage children everywhere to learn how to learn, to think and focus on what’s important and to step forward to lead us to a better place.
Thanks!
